Opening of annual conference of the British & Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA)
The Mayor, Cllr Sarah Billett was delighted to accept an invitation from West Midlands Safari Park (WMSP) to open the annual conference of the British & Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA) alongside Lord Benyon, the Minister of State at the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs.
In her welcome speech Sarah explained how proud she was to have WMSP as part of the Bewdley community and appreciated their positive contribution to the town and residents of Bewdley for the past 50 years. The conference then went on to provide an insight into the excellent work BIAZA do in animal welfare, education and conservation work.
Following the conference Sarah stayed on to enjoy a wonderful afternoon enjoying all the park has to offer with her young family.
