Big Conversation – Rural Crime

Posted on behalf of Neighbourhood Matters and the Police and Crime Commissioner

Following PCC John Campion’s Big Conversation with the Temporary Chief Constable of West Mercia Police, Alex Murray, each section of the 90-minute discussion will take a focus in a brand-new series over the coming weeks.

In this week’s clip, PCC John Campion focuses on the action being taken by West Mercia Police and the work he is doing around tackling rural crime.

During the Big Conversation, Deputy Chief Constable Richard Cooper explained: “The greatest step we can take is to ensure that when someone is targeted – theft of plant, crime affecting life stock, etc – that it is given the seriousness it deserves.”
