Flood update from the Environment Agency 26/01/2021

Rain is expected today (Tuesday), clearing through this evening, but no significant impacts are expected.   More rain is expected Wednesday into Thursday which has the potential to result in river levels rising again.  This may result in the reissuing of flood alerts and flood warnings and for renewed operational activity.  We are closely monitoring the situation.  Barriers remain deployed at Hereford, Frankwell, Coleham Head, Ironbridge, Bewdley (Severnside) and Hylton Road, Worcester. The gates at Upton remain closed and Kempsey is operational.

As all rivers have now peaked this will be the last summary sheet for this event. We will keep the situation under review and we will recommence issuing a summary sheet in the coming days depending on the potential impacts which may arise from the rain later in the week.
