PUBLIC NOTICE

 ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

 WORCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

 NOTICE OF THE CLOSURE OF A456 BEWDLEY BYPASS, RIBBESFORD, WORCESTERSHIRE (“THE HIGHWAY”)

Reason for restriction: Lining and cat’s eyes.  There is a need to close the highway in the following terms:- 

  1. The effect of this Notice is that no vehicle shall proceed along that part of the highway from its junction with A456 Blackstone Roundabout to its junction with A456 Longbank Roundabout.
  1. This provision shall continue in force for a maximum of 5 days; however, it is anticipated that it will remain in force for 3 days commencing 1 May 2023. 
  1. Alternative routes: A456 Long Bank, A456 Callow Hill, A456 Tenbury Road, B4202 Worcester Road, A443 Worcester Road, A451 Stourport Road, A451 Dunley, A451 Bridge Street, A451 York Street, A451 Vale Road, B4195 Bewdley Road, B4195 Stourport Road and vice versa.

Nothing in this Notice shall prevent at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the highway, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from and only from the highway.
