One way: Bewdley Bridge / Westbourne Street

 

Many locals to Bewdley and persons passing through will now know that Bewdley Bridge and Westbourne Street have now become one way streets and will be this way for approx. 2 years or until the flood defence work in completed.

There is clear and abundant signage in the area of these roads providing adequate warning of the one way system and diversions, but even with these in place there have been a number of reports of motorists flouting this and diving the wrong way down these roads so they can save themselves a bit of time. This poses a danger to other motorists and pedestrians, and can land the offending driver with points on their licence and a fine.
