ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
WORCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF THE CLOSURE OF B4194 HIGH STREET, BEWDLEY, WORCESTERSHIRE (“THE HIGHWAY”)
Reason for restriction: Burst water main. There is a likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road. There is a need to close the highway in the following terms:-
1. The effect of this Notice is that no vehicle shall proceed along that part of the highway from its junction with U10500 Lax Lane to its junction with B4190 Load Road.
- This provision shall continue in force for a maximum of 21 days; however, it is anticipated that it will remain in force for 4 days commencing 29 September 2023.
3. Alternative routes: Anticlockwise – B4194 Lower Park, B4194 Red Hill, B4194 Ribbesford Road, A451 Dunley Road, A451 Bridge Street, A451 High Street, A451 Mitton Street, A451 Vale Road, B4195 Bewdley Road, B4195 Stourport Road, A456 Bewdley bypass, B4190 Kidderminster Road, B4190 Load Street; Clockwise – B4190 Load Street, B4190 Kidderminster Road, A456 Bewdley bypass, B4195 Stourport Road, B4195 Bewdley Road, B4195 Lombard Street, A451 Mitton Street, A451 Lion Hill, A451 York Street, A451 Bridge Street, A451 Dunley Road, B4194 Ribbesford Road, B4194 Red Hill, B4194 Lower Park.
Nothing in this Notice shall prevent at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the highway, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from and only from the highway.
