Vacancy for Civic & Administrative Assistant

Applications are invited for the position of Civic & Administrative Assistant at Bewdley Town Council covering 27.5 hours Monday – Friday, 11am – 5pm (37 hours full time equivalent). Occasional evening and weekend work will be required.

This is a permanent position on a salary scale of SCP 5 – 8 £21,575 – £22,777 pro rata, (£16,035.47 – £16,928.85) (pay award pending).

The role will be varied and will support the Town Clerk, the Mayor and the Council at its office at 6 Load Street Bewdley.

Experience of working in a busy office environment and excellent IT literacy is essential; knowledge of local government and of the local area preferred. This role is office based and has an element of lone working.

Candidates should be focussed, proactive, diplomatic, flexible in outlook and able to work with minimum supervision.
