Please find attached the latest Flood Summary Sheet for Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire from the Environment Agency.

Operational barriers; Hereford, Frankwell phases 1-4, Coleham school coming out this morning, road and fields remain. Ironbridge phases 1 & 2. Bewdley phases 1-3. Waterside, New Street and Dunn’s Lane gates all closed. Hylton Road barriers deployed Tuesday evening (02/01/2024).

There are currently multiple peaks along the Severn and the above reflects the levels for the latest forecast peak.

Rain this week is expected to bring renewed rises and a prolonged peak in the lower Severn as peaks amalgamate.

We saw 20-30mm in Upper catchments over last 24 hours, with a widespread 10-15mm elsewhere in the area.

Forecast rainfall totals for today, and Friday:

  • Thursday widespread 0-5mm.
  • Friday mostly dry, up to 12mm on high ground.

Saturday and into next week looks mostly dry.

Further rainfall is forecast over the next few days. The Environment Agency are closely monitoring the situation.
