WYRE FOREST DISTRICT COUNCIL
BEWDLEY CHRISTMAS MARKET AND LIGHT SWITCH ON
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
NOTICE IS GIVEN that after consultation with Worcestershire County Council and
West Mercia Constabulary, Wyre Forest District Council made an Order on 18th
November 2021 under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 with the
following effect.
On Saturday 27th November 2021 from time to time between 06.00 and 21:00
(Bewdley Market) and 16:00 and 19:00 (Christmas Light Switch On) the following
streets will be closed to all vehicular traffic, including pedal cycles, other than to
vehicles participating in the event with the express consent of the organisers:
Roads Closed for Market
06:00 & 21:00 Extent of closure
Severnside North From Load Street to Dog Lane on Severnside North
(both directions)
Load Street Car Park From Load Street to Dog Lane (both directions)
Roads closed for Christmas Lights Event
16:00 & 19:00 Extent of closure
Beales Corner From Stourport Road to the Bridge where it becomes
Load Street (both directions)
Load Street To include all of Load Street and both sides of St
Annes Church (both directions)
Severnside South From Load Street to Gardners Meadow Car Park on
Severnside South (both directions)
Riverside North From Beales Corner along Riverside North (both
directions)
Any person committing a breach of the terms of the said Order will be guilty of
an offence and liable to a fine not exceeding £1,000.
